Code of Conduct

At Vet Act Of 2011, Inc., the well-being and safety of all participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, during our conferences are of utmost importance. To ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone, we ask all individuals involved in our events to adhere to the following Code of Conduct. This code will be enforced throughout the entirety of the event, and we rely on the cooperation of all participants to help create a secure and pleasant atmosphere.

Diversity and Inclusion

Vet Act Of 2011, Inc. is committed to providing a conference experience that is free from harassment for all, irrespective of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, opinions, or religion (or lack thereof). We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment directed at conference participants.

What Constitutes Harassment

Harassment encompasses a broad spectrum of behaviors, including but not limited to offensive verbal comments pertaining to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic. It also includes the sharing of sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, invasive or harassing photography or recording, persistent disruptions during talks or other events, unwarranted physical contact, and unwanted sexual attention. Participants who are asked to cease any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

Inappropriate Content and Activities

Sexual language and imagery are not suitable for any conference venue, whether in presentations, booths, roundtable discussions, workshops, parties, on social media, or other online platforms. Sponsors are likewise expected to refrain from using sexual images, giveaways, activities, or promotional materials of a sexual nature. Booth staff, including volunteers, are required to dress professionally and avoid clothing, uniforms, or costumes that may create a sexualized environment. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may result in sanctions or expulsion from the conference, at the discretion of Vet Act Of 2011.

Consequences of Harassment

If any participant is found engaging in harassing behavior, Vet Act Of 2011 reserves the right to take appropriate action, including issuing warnings or expelling the offender from the conference without a refund.
