In early 2010, we committed to help more than one million Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their young families who are now fighting the war on the Home Front - for financial security and, in many cases, survival.
We put nearly two years into writing a landmark new GI Bill. On October 12, 2011, that GI Bill was introduced into Congress, and is now officially called the VET Act of 2011, H.R. 3167
H.R. 3167 will empower over one million veterans with an opportunity to quickly become self-employed veteran small businesses owners, and at the same time, CREATE THE NEW JOBS that America needs.
We've accomplished what many said was "impossible" - creating an "Act of Congress". But our work has just begun, and we only have less than a year to get America behind this Bill.
Empowered with this new GI Bill, our veterans will become your community's greatest contributors.
Your donations are our only source of funding, and are used entirely to help us continue our drive to give our veterans and their families a fast path to re-building their lives after war - through self-sufficiency and small business ownership.
Like Roosevelt's original GI Bill in 1945, the VET Act of 2011 is a US economic recovery bill that provides the tools our veterans need to help re-build their lives, and America. The VET Act of 2011 allows veterans to create America's new jobs.
Within two years after enactment, instead of being unemployed, our veterans could create more than 100,000 new small businesses, and up to 500,000 new sustainable jobs in every community across America.
Patriot Enterprise Project's mission only ends when President Obama signs the Vet Act into law in 2012.
Give our veterans more than a "thank you and a pat on the back". They have earned a GI Bill that addresses their needs in the 21st Century.
